About Stephen C. Foster Elementary

Nestled in northwest Dallas, Stephen C. Foster Elementary has proudly served the community since its dedication in 1953. Named after America’s first professional composer, Stephen C. Foster—known for classics like “Oh! Susanna", “My Old Kentucky Home", and “Beautiful Dreamer”—our school continues to inspire students to dream boldly and reach high.
Today, Foster is celebrated for its vibrant diversity and thriving Dual Language program, recognized as one of the most successful in the city. Our commitment to honoring languages and cultures enriches the academic experience for all learners. Thanks to the support of community partners, Foster recently enhanced its campus with a renovated playground, now accessible to thousands of nearby residents.
Foster Elementary stands as a proud landmark in the Love Field area, where students, families, and community come together to learn, grow, and lead.
